Notes: When I posted this on FFN not long ago, I got a reply that said the title seemed to be of a misnomer, because really, there is no 'rise' for him, at least, not in these 3 pieces. And I have to say, that was a conscious decision on my part. Because I don't believe that Sirius ever recovered from his fall from grace. Not really, anyway. The rise in the title and the rise in this fic is the turning point which begins the events that ultimately finally clear Sirius' name.
Unfortunately, he doesn't live to see it. First HP fic. I liked how this one turned out, personally. My favourite chapter is the 2nd one, my favourite part being the aftermath of the explosion. I also didn't realise until ages after I wrote this, that each chapter ends with a sound; a crack, a laugh, a scream. That was completely accidental.

Notes: Again, one of those 'so obscure no-one will read but it's one of my favourites'. Jack is the son of Jack Silver and Marlane (before she AU-eloped with Aaron), and he's fully-human. Jeb (Jebediah), Zeke (Ezekiel Malachai) and Ezra are three of Aaron and Marlane's snake-offspring. Born as snakes, but able to shed and take on a hybridised human form. They are legitimately half-human, and so can do this without having to steal and sew a human skin like their father. The reason they look so similar to Jack and each other is because Marlane is the only human DNA they possess (the rest being rattlesnakey), so her features are very dominant. Jack has Silver DNA, and as such it's a little easier to tell him apart from his half-brothers. Since Aaron doesn't really have a surname, they take Marlane's maiden name, including Jack.
If you want to get really technical? Maru, Arath's ex-girlfriend from FH become's Jeb's gf. And they are very happy together :)

Crossover with Scorch County, and the (still) unfinished original fic collaboration called Alternative Medicine, Sula the caveman being a main character. Sula's based somewhat off Fox from FH, and he's just so frickin' charming he's able to shag just about anyone (as the next fic will attest to). There's no explanation as to why he's in Scorch, he just showed up. And yeah, Lewis just seemed like the right match for him.

Notes: I hated Shinobu the first time I saw him, but a few well-written Tero fics actually got me interested in him. I didn't feel as though I had a good grasp on his character at all, so I set myself a challenge to write him. And I decided to base it in somewhere I was at least familiar with -- Australia :D Covering that little period of time that was only ever mentioned in the manga/anime. It was meant to be a one-shot (and I don't normally write one-shots part by part) but the other two bits followed very naturally, and I like them all together. I think the name 'Houdini' came about by thinking about how he was using Australia as an escape... When the fic began to expand into part 2 and then part 3, I looked up Houdini and did some research on the tricks he would do. When I read the names, I just liked the way they worked as titles to the parts, because I think they do refer to and play some relevance to what happens.
