Notes: There were a bunch of fics that I wrote around 2005/06 that I just never posted for one reason or another. Whether they were just for my own personal amusement, or for Sandra specifically, I found a wealth of unposted material and decided to start inserting it into the 100 original fics if it was appropriate. This one was at least a few years old at the time of posting, as the boys were still sleeping in single beds :)
Feedback: always welcome, as is constructive criticism.

Bedtime took Collin to his king single, and the man who was already lying in it. He slipped under the covers and put his head on Fox's shoulder. The blond looked at the book he was reading - something about vikings - but wasn't interested. Fox, however, seemed to be engrossed, a small frown creasing the skin between his eyebrows.
Collin slung an arm around Fox's chest, pushing up the green tank top to touch skin. Fox looked over the pages of his book, which was enough for Collin. He reached over and placed the book face down on Fox's chest and looked up at him.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Ah, nothing much," he shrugged. "Y'see, some days I worry I'm secretly the messenger of the blind idiot god, here simply to enact--"
Collin stopped him by taking his hand. "I've heard this version. What's really up?"
Fox sighed, the amusement melting from his face slowly. "Yeah. Well, I worry about serious stuff sometimes."
"Like?" Collin prompted softly.
"Like... something happening to my parents, or my sister, or my uncle, or you..." Fox's fingers twitched underneath Collin's hand. "Shit happens all the time, y'know? And I don't think about it a lot. But ... sometimes I do."
Collin's heart twanged at the quiet seriousness in Fox's voice. It was a rarely heard gravity.
"Let me help you on this one." He began by kissing the shoulder he leant on. "Your family are all in good health. They are... a little crazy, I admit, but wonderful. " Kissed his pectoral. "They're going to be around for a very long time." Kissed his clavicle. "And so am I." Kissed his jaw.
Fox accepted the words, his frown easing slightly, but he still didn't look entirely convinced. Collin moved underneath the covers to straddle Fox's waist, throwing the book to the floor. His fingers smoothed the hair away from Fox's eyes, leaving his face bare and considerably vulnerable. With his thumb, he smoothed out the crease between the dark brows once and for all.
"And another thing? You are no longer allowed to worry about this anymore. You are a sweet, sexy guy with a charmed life, and you're not going to think anything but."
"Charmed life?" Fox snorted.
In response, Collin cupped either side of Fox's face and kissed him. It was a good kiss. Great, even. Fox wrapped his arms around Collin's waist and kissed back, fervently.
Collin was professional. He slowed the kiss down gradually, ending it in a loving nuzzle. The blond slid smoothly to the side, resting his head on Fox's shoulder just as before.
"What's up now?"
Fox's lips began to curl at the corners, and his eyes flicked subtly to the sheets covering his waist. Collin smiled and put his head in the crook of Fox's neck. "Welcome back," he murmured and wrapped his arm around the green clad chest.
"Good to be here." Fox smelled Collin's hair, reached over to flick off the lamp.
